What is the status on this situation?
The victim of a vicious biker gang assault is keeping a stiff, and silent, upper lip as prosecutors go easy on his attackers.
Alexian Lien said nothing Saturday as he left his Manhattan home with his young daughter, who witnessed him being brutally beaten in the violent Sept. 29 attack.
Prosecutors said Friday they would lessen charges against 10 bikers involved in the senseless assault — because Lien is healing so well.
Bundled in a black winter coat and hat, Lien walked a short distance carrying two bags, one with a princess doll sticking out, as he and his daughter left the family’s Financial District building.
He ignored questions about the legal development before heading back into his home.
Lien was hauled out of his Range Rover and pummeled in front of his family on West 178th Street in the terrifying videotaped incident, which unfolded after Lien’s SUV bumped one of the bikers. The group swarmed the family car on the West Side Highway. Lien ran over one of the motorcyclists as he fled, causing serious injuries and prompting the bikers to chase him for 50 blocks.
Originally facing first-degree gang assault charges that could have landed them sentences of 25 years behind bars, the suspects could get only 15 years if convicted.
New legislation targeting rogue motorcyclists in the wake of the vicious beatdown of a Manhattan man in front of his wife and baby daughter will be introduced in the state Senate on Monday.
Sen. Adriano Espaillat, whose district includes Washington Heights, where the violence took place, and Assemblywoman Gabriela Rosa, will propose four bills giving cops and prosecutors new tools to go after reckless bikers.
The bill will apply in the city only, not the rest of the state.
“While the brutal assault caught on video captured the world’s attention, aggressive and reckless motorcyclist behavior in upper Manhattan has been a persistent quality-of-life hazard in our community for years,” Espaillat said.
Rule-breaking bikers have been a particular nuisance in his district because it includes parts of the West Side Highway, FDR Drive, and other major routes.
The first measure would stiffen penalties for a group attack by bikers.
The second would make it illegal for bikers to do stunts like wheelies in traffic.
“Anyone who thinks performing risky maneuvers in the middle of traffic is a good idea should have their license suspended so they understand their actions put lives in danger,” Espaillat said.
A third bill would require groups of 50 or more motorcyclists to get a permit approved by the NYPD. (CJ's note: I'm sure that won't be a problem though............)
And the last part of the legislation would shift the power from the state to the city to install cameras on roads. Currently, the state has the power to approve traffic cameras.
Rachel Figeuera, a 27-year-old Inwood mom, said she is happy about the legislation — especially the permit requirement.
“I feel the biggest problem with the bikers is that they’re in large groups,” she said.
“Its never one idiot popping wheelies. It’s 10 idiots popping wheelies. I’m not anti-motorcycle. I’m anti-idiot.”
On Saturday night, a gang of at least 100 bikers rode from The Bronx to Queens and then to Brooklyn, a law-enforcement source told The Post, adding that the 911 system was inundated by callers complaining about them driving recklessly and endangering motorists and pedestrians.
At least one arrest was reported.
Rashawn Bellamy, 26, of Valley Stream, LI, was busted after cops spotted him driving a bike north in the southbound lanes on Cross Bay Boulevard in Queens, police said.
They tried to stop him, but he allegedly hopped on the sidewalk, narrowly missed pedestrians, then drove west in the eastbound lane of North Conduit Avenue. He then allegedly ditched the bike and attempted to flee on foot before cops nabbed him.![]()

The lower Manhattan father who was swarmed and beaten up by a raging motorcycle gang last fall plans to sue the city and two of his alleged attackers, NYPD cops Wojciech Braszczok and Matthew Rodriguez.
Alexian Lien filed the complaint on behalf of his himself, his wife, Rosalyn Ng, and their 2-year-old daughter who were in the family’s Range Rover during the brutal confrontation on Sept. 29, 2013.
“A vicious and unruly mob of motorcycle riders” “attacked and assaulted” Lien and “vandalized his motor vehicle” by smashing a rear window where his toddler was sitting, according to his notice of claim filed on Dec. 24.
Video footage shows Braszczok, an undercover detective, breaking one of the windows.
He pleaded not guilty to assault charges in November.
Lien is asserting that the NYPD was negligent for failing to properly hire and train its officers.
The Police Department identified Braszczok, Rodriguez and two other officers who were involved with the biker gang.
Rodriguez, an Internal Affairs cop, has said he was “nowhere near the scene” of the violence but admitted that he was riding with the bikers.
Eleven bikers have been arrested in the SUV melee.
Lien, 33, was driving the black SUV near 125th Street in Harlem when he was surrounded by the bike gang.
They pursued him 50 blocks up the West Side Highway to the 178th Street exit where he was pulled from his car while his terrified wife and daughter watched him get pummeled to a pulp.
A city Law Department spokeswoman said: “At this time, this is just a notice of claim — not a lawsuit.
“No city employees have asked our office to represent them. We will assess the available facts when, and if, we are asked to represent.”

hopefully it'll stop these reckless ass dudes in jamaica these nikkas reckless as fukk...
