How much did you spend?

They were $200 online for the one's without the pre-cut door sills....so I had to cut mine. Interesting thing was there are template marks from the factory so I just used a dremel and cut them out so the brackets would fit....

Thats a fair price for a Land Rover dealership...they also charge 160 for an oil change

Right, for a reason 1st off work that's done at a dealership is guaranteed, for a a year minimum, if they messed it up they have to replace them and fix any supplemental damage done as a result, also Land Rover charges that for oil change because it is labor intensive and a Land Rover uses 2 and 1/2 gallons (5W30, which is top of the line synthetic oil, Castrol is the best brand, imo) of oil per change. Can you do it yourself sure, but that oil is 30 dollars a gallon (on sale) so that's 75 bucks out of your pocket, you need several tools which most people may or may not have and you need to remove not only the oil pan but the undertray housing depending on the model. Not saying the average joe can't do it, but it's harder and more intensive than say a Honda, Toyota, Ford etc.

Lol....you dont need several tools for the oil change.....there is a debris shield that has 8 bolts. You remove that and there is the drain plug

.That castrol they are talking about have a contract with Land rover/jaguar so they only sell it to them....its the same formula as synthetic mobil 1

I have done 3 oil changes with the mobile 1 and my engine has not blown up....lol...so have other range rover owners that are alot older than me with ither high end cars....thats how I found out

They dont warranty if you dont buy from them...running boards are 1200 installed....im just glad im crafty to mot get raped by dealer

Like I said you seem to know what you are doing but most people don't. 160 is not crazy for an oil change for a Land Rover Dealer.
