Kurtis Blow always had some dope ass beats but i always hated his over dramatic happy rap voice.

i always wondered if a case could be made that kurtis was even better at producing than rapping.

Yeah he was a much better producer than rapper and he was gifted at crafting good songs from 80-86. Dude was a cornball on the mic but I enjoyed a lot of his songs. I was salty as a kid when everyone(in the film) was jockin him as the (self proclaimed) King of Rap in Krush Groove.:rudy:

Everything fell off a cliff in 88 when he released this song. The song is so bad that it's good. The video is pretty much like a In Living Color parody.

oh shyt....remember when John Salley had his own talk show on BET?? His co host was this sexy lil latina named Julissa? I just spotted her at the beginning of that Master P vid. She was bad.

vaguely.

i dont remember her being on there, but i remember her being on that "oh drama" show.

fine as f*ck, but she seemed kinda old....not that theres anything wrong with that.

is this the same julissa from big boy's neighborhood morning show circa the early 2000s? i always wondered this. im not from the west coast.
