I agree with you and pretty much alluded to this. Granted, I was being a bit hyperbolic by saying parents needed to be militant, etc- my point was essentially the same. This is what happens when people throw Black children in white society without teaching them to value themselves and their culture. You see yourself through a Eurocentric lens which causes issues that take years to fix.
