So what are they gonna do if Germany calls their bluff, just not sell Russian gas to Europe? They aint that crazy right... right :lupe:

Russia has basically weaponized their gas because they know how much Europe is dependent on it.

Germany's Olaf Scholz announced in a speech today that Europe should not impose sanctions on Russian oil/gas, raising the spectre of massive job losses and a Europe-wide recession.

Individual countries should have done this 20 years ago . We do need another computer operating system to compete with Microsoft's dominance. Every country should have their own payment card away from our companies to spread the global wealth . China has smartened up by stopping their engagement with Washington's back and forth bs .

lets see if its a "request" or a "demand"

What do you think Europe's options are?

Can Iran gas replace Russia? Keep in mind that much of Iran's gas is already on the market (through China).

The only solution I see is total Russia's energy boycott, but this has greater implications.

Iran says they can put 3.5 million barrels a day within 2 months. That should ease things up while production ramps up in US and Canada

Russia's own leaders don't want rubles. They'd have done this a long time ago if they were serious. This seems like a desperate move.

If they were serious, they'd just adopt Chinese currency, not try to prop their own.
