The US just exported tons of supplies to Ukraine from across the world while Russia can't even resupply their troops less than 30km away.

The president is not dumb. If putin takes the hard L here, he's done in them streets....but he'll refuse to step down. You know what that spells on that side of the world IMHO, there's two very possible outcomes

I see four outcomes.

1. Putin settles for the Eastern portion of Ukraine they've taken. The sanctions on Russia would still cause problems later on.
2. Russians overthrow him or assassinate him. The chaos afterward would be another problem entirely.
3. Putin takes Ukraine in a long drawn out costly war. The monetary costs, sanctions, lives lost would probably still destroy Russia.
4. Nuclear war. If Putin feels cornered or like he lost anyway

NATO is a defensive alliance.

It's best to view Russia as a sexual predator. You see, in the past Russia had its way with Poland, the Baltics, Central & Eastern Europe, etc. Note that Russia remains very proud of this, and brags about it constantly, views it as notches on its belt.

In response, NATO provided these countries expandable batons and tasers. Uncle Sam also offered to walk those countries to their car while Russia coped and seethed in the shadows.

This made Russia angry, because Russia thinks it should be able to fukk who it wants when it wants. Uncle Sam and John Bull decided to give Ukraine some pepper spray and a whistle, but it wasn't actually under the proper protection of NATO. Uncle Sam would not be walking Ukraine to the car.

In response, Russia thought they caught Ukraine alone in the parking garage, and decided to rape Ukraine. In response, they put forth the old "Ukraine was dressed like a whore, Ukraine was asking for it", and people like you buy it.

So fukk this "One Word: Nato" bullshyt. Putin's Russia lives and dies by its nostalgia for Russian Imperial/Soviet power. Russia has a long history of fukking over Poland, Ukraine, etc. long before NATO was a thing. If Russia couldn't form productive, non-exploitative/non-murderous relationships with these countries, then that's on Russia.

That is a great example.

I wonder what’s the game plan, The current administration was able to get more commitment in nato from European countries since the last administration tried to cut ties with Europe, but isn’t saying Putin can no longer be in power escalation into something more dangerous, do this administration really want to go to war when the world is living paycheck to paycheck right now while still dealing with a dangerous bioengineered virus that’s still evolving
