Is every liberal who doesn't have Russia on their minds 24/7 an apologist? Of course not. But there are definitely a few looking funny in the light.

Opinion | Neo-McCarthyite furor around Russia is counterproductive

Money quote:

Flynn is — as anyone reading his writings would discover — unfit to head the National Security Council. But talking to the Russian ambassador or to purported “Russian intelligence officials” about the intentions of the incoming president is hardly subversive.

What should be of concern is the leaking of officially classified and intercepted telephone conversations — in what was clearly a successful effort to target and take out Flynn. That Trump has railed against the intelligence leaks should not discredit this concern. The intelligence community’s use of leaks of secret information to undermine a president constitutionally elected by the American people — no matter how unfit we consider him to be — is an ominous precedent.

The DNC Wasn’t Hacked, the NYT Is Lying, and Other Mindboggling Claims From Putin’s American Defender

Money quote:

I heard you recently on Fox News. You said that the “assault” on President Trump “was the No. 1 threat to the United States today.” What did you mean by that?

Threat. OK. Threat. That’s a good word. We’re in a moment when we need an American president and a Kremlin leader to act at the highest level of statesmanship. Whether they meet in summit or not is not of great importance, but we need intense negotiations to tamp down this new Cold War, particularly in Syria, but not only. Trump is being crippled by these charges, for which I can find no facts whatsoever.

Wait, which charges are we talking about?

That he is somehow in the thrall or complicity or control, under the influence of the Kremlin.

I think it would help if he would admit what his own intelligence agencies are telling him, that Russia played some role in …

No, I don’t accept that. I don’t accept that at all, not for one minute.

these types live in a world that isn't affected by health insurance issues, civil rights issues, etc. the most important thing to them is the russian and american president getting along and that's possible with these two. i don't think most people hanging on to this russia story WANT america and russia to be locked in some battle to the death, but if this could be used to muddy or cripple trump's disastrous domestic agenda then all the better. they're still makings shytty moves on a daily basis, but imagine him with a 50+% approval rating and unencumbered by scandal ... the damage that he could do.

How's it going to mess up his agenda when it's already messed up?

Pence is going to come in and implement it with ease if there's an impeachment

You have to believe the aRussia narrative to be an "apologist".

This article is an excellent piece of propaganda because it throws anyone on the left who is smart enough and experienced enough to know how the Deep State operates when they want to take someone out, like they're some sort of traitor. . . This is the article to present when you fear no one is believing you.

Oh! And look. . . It's written in Washington Compost. . . The CIA's favorite newspaper.

Data-transfer speeds across networks and the Internet measured in megabits per second (or megabytes per second) can easily achieve rates that greatly exceed the cited reference in the VIPS memo of 1,976 megabytes in 87 seconds (∼22.71 megabytes per second or ∼181.7 megabits per second), and well beyond 50 megabytes, depending on the capacity of the network and the method of access to that network. Speeds across the network vary greatly, and sustained write speeds copied out to local devices are often quite a bit slower.

Almost a retraction of an August 9 story which claimed the hack was an inside job.
