Film is infinitely rewatchable. Wouldn’t change a thing.

Its getting at least 4 Oscar nominations (Best Picture, Original Screenplay, Director, and Costume Design) and its looking HIGHLY likely MJB is getting in for Best Actor. Might pull off an Original Song nomination as well.

Good haul for a horror genre flick, I expect the only win will be for Original Screenplay (which would be greatly deserved) while One Battle After Another takes everything else.

I know Coogler said there are no plans for a sequel but I hope he keeps the world and mythos alive in other mediums (graphic novels would be a great idea) and in a couple years if he’s inspired he can return for another go round. Either a sequel or prequel would be dope. Hell I could even see a limited series on something like FX or HBO.

It is no doubt rewatchable. Still think a leveled up vampire showdown takes the film to another level imo. Its still a great film though.

And its ripe for several limited series

Prequel/Sequel Godfather 2 style. It would be challenging, but he should go for it

There’s an opportunity to make his own saga here

I'd like to see a prequel with the Irish cult leader

I’d want Ryan to keep it black but maybe have a prequel with a runaway or freed slave being taken in to a Native Tribe with a vampire hunting faction. It was already shown in the first movie and having Native Americans team up with a brother would be dope.

Disagree with y'all takes. Film was a one and done for me. I really don't understand the hype behind it and think folks make up layers to the movie to make it deeper than what it is.

It wasn't bad imo just mediocre and can't see myself rewatching it.
