Didn't T'Challa let the villain live in Civil War too? Who killed his father?
Why sparing the villain was acceptable for him and he remains a badass but not Shuri?

Baron Zemo atleast went to prison. Shuri allied with Namor after he killed her mother...(an alliance with Wakanda was exactly what Namor wanted when he killed the queen so it's like he won)

Fair enough.
I do think that some strategic reasoning went into that decision as well since the Wakandans were afraid to get caught in a holy war if they were to kill Namor, and that might have happened had they just captured him as well...
Also, Namor wanted an alliance specifically to conquer the rest of the world but it seemed that by the end, Talokan was on Wakanda's agenda, so he didn't get what he wanted imo.
But I do agree with you that he suffered no significant punishment for what he did. You're right about that.

Disney says they want a female driven x-men franchise, and Coogler has demonstrated that he can successfully direct a movie where multiple women are driving the narrative.

Because it's what Captain America would've done...Tony Stark...etc. Stan Lee has set the moral code for Superheroes. They must never kill.
That's why The Punisher was different type of Superheroe who reset the status quo of Superheroes in comic books.
There was no way Tchalla was gonna kill for vengeance. In fact Tchalla's only confirmed kills were in wars against Wakanda, even then they won't those easily.
Ending point, True, Good Hearted Men Don't Kill...T'Challa, King Of Wakanda, King Of The Dead, Bast's Champion is a good hearted King.

To be fair T’Challa did give Killmonger a chance to surrender in exchange of having his wounds healed so he can survive but Killmonger rightfully choose death instead of being held as a prisoner.
