Ryan forgot he is a pocket passer - - - and that's why ATL lost.

All the stiff had to do was throw the ball away on those sacks. Ryan isn't Wilson or Rodgers or even Cam Newton; he can't make up lost yards with big plays after he takes a sack. Ryan should have done what Brady did repeatedly last night: remember he's a pocket passer and throw the ball away.

Remeber Brady threw like 62 times to Ryan's 23. Brady's sack rate was low for how many times the Falcons threatened him with a sack. He threw the ball away repeatedly yesterday whereas Ryan virtually never did. That's why Brady was sacked 5 times in 62 dropbacks whilst Ryan was sacked 5 times in only 23.

Nope. All he had to do was hand the ball off. If they run on 3rd and 1, he doesn't fumble and Freeman more than likely picks up the 1st. If not, punt and make the Pats drive down the field and eat up the clock.

The next series was even worse. On the 22 yd line and they pass it on 2nd. They get a FG there and they win it. But nah, can't let a RB be the hero. Sack and a holding penalty and now they're out of fg range. :francis:

Yeah, to put it into better perspective for us: Ryan's sack rate on 23 attempts was 20% whereas Brady's sack rate on 62 attempts was only 8% in comparison. So Ryan was sacked once every 5 dropbacks while Brady was sacked once every 11-12 dropbacks. This happened despite Brady experiencing plenty of pressure early on in the game. So Brady handled pressure better than Ryan and comfortably carved up the Falcons for entire drive lengths before getting sacked whereas Ryan was getting sacked every drive.
