Ok. My bad then... On the Mike Wallace deal, EVERYONE knew his limitations, but the key is to exploits his strengths in those 2 routes he exceeds at... that was Miami's fault.... I wouldn't be surprised if the PATS offered him a one year deal and he has a 1000 yards receiving again.....
On Tannehill learning a new offense all over again, I am under the impression that Kelly's system is extremely QB friendly, and that's why QBs grasp it so quickly.......
and you're right..... there are way too many factors that go into winning that people fail to acknowledge.......... but its do or die for that Dolphins coaching staff right now..... The offensive personnel looks good on paper.... Suh should be a difference maker..... Yall lost a lot of close games last year.... I didn't see enough last year to determine if it was execution or coaching though
IMO and in the opinion of a lot of Dolphins fans Philbin should have been fired at the end of the season.
Two late season collapses in a row that would have put us in the playoffs is not acceptable. His game management is questionable but his personnel skills are what bothers me jsut as much.
Lazor's system is kind of a hybrid of what Kelly was doing up in Philly.I think it is kind of QB friendly. But the offensive line (when Albert went done) made it hard to maintain that same play. Which is why the offense took a big hit.
Tannehill had one of the shortest amounts of time in the pocket before getting touched in the NFL. That line was just getting eaten up.
and when you have to play 4 games against the Jets D line and the Bills D line and even throw in NEw Englands it was pretty tough to get a rhythm going with less than two seconds to make your progressions.
Tannehill NEEDS to connect on the deep ball more efficiently this year. There are no questions. He's got the arm all around just needs to work on the long ball consistency.
THe problem with Wallace and the way Miami used him was that he stayed on one side and he was a small guy and was easy to be pushed toward the sideline.
Defenses knew he was a one trick pony and it was easy to force him to the outside making his target much smaller.
he would never go inside or down the middle. every pass to him on the outside had to be near perfect.
unlike other deep threats where you can put it up and they will run under it. Wallace was a sideline guy only.
and with the safety cheating over he made a great decoy for the other players. But made it extremely hard to consistently get that deep ball. Which was the fault of both Tannehill and himself.
I'm really looking forward to this new group of receivers though
Cameron, Stills, and Parker, added to LAndry is gonna be a problem( I hope)
