Dolphins fear left ACL injury for QB Tannehill
MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. -- Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehillsuffered a left knee injury in the third quarter and was knocked out of the game, forcing backup quarterback Matt Moore to make his first appearance of the season.
The Dolphins celebrated a win over the Cardinals on Sunday, but those good vibes may not last because of a knee injury suffered by QB Ryan Tannehill.
After the game Dolphins coach Adam Gase said the team is concerned that Tannehill has an injury to his ACL.
Tannehill, one of the league's most durable quarterbacks, hasn't missed a start in five seasons. But he was hit low by Cardinals defensive tackle Calais Campbell in the second half and immediately signaled the sideline for medical attention. Tannehill walked off the field on his own with a significant limp. He was later ruled out.
Before the injury, Tannehill tied his season high with three touchdown passes.
