The Wu-Tang Clan‘s iconic debut album, Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), turns 30 on November 9, and to celebrate, RZA is presenting three very special shows at NYC’s Gramercy Theatre on November 7, 8 & 9 featuring a live orchestra. Tickets go on sale Friday, September 8 at 10 AM with presales beforehand.

Earlier this year, RZA premiered a similar concept — “36 Chambers of Shaolin And A Ballet Through Mud” — in Denver, which featured an orchestra and ballet. While the ticket pages for the Gramercy shows call it “RZA (A Ballet Through Mud)” there’s no mention of dance in his announce on social media which refer to them as “live orchestra experience.”

Speaking to those Denver shows, RZA said, “As an artist, I’m always striving for ways to grow and evolve and when you get a chance to hear your music translated by an orchestra, it’s so fulfilling, the vibration of it, the feel of it.”

In other Wu news, Wu-Tang Clan are part of the big Hip Hop Forever concert at Madison Square Garden next week, and will then hook up with Nas and Del La Soul for the NY State of Mind tour, and GZA is teaming up with Fishbone for the Truth & Swords tour as well

Andre Nickatina has been doing this in San Francisco. I pray that this leads to the connection being made so we can get Andre Nickatina and RZA on the same track :banderas:
