Man..say what yall want about sadam but he was what a dictator is suppose to be. This isn't a democracy, fear is his greatest weapon and without it no dictator can survive. Under sadams reign Iraq had a somewhat thriving economy, crime was down (because of the fear sadam put in people's heart) and the country was safe enough for some type of tourism during the 80s and early 90s. Before sadam was executed he warned the judge what would happen to his country and that's what happened, isis and other militants groups formed and mass killings happened.
There was a guy on the news who celebrated when sadam was killed, 10 years later he was on the news saying he regrets celebrating because he had a thriving business under sadam, crazy thing is that sadam killed half this mans family and he still wished he was back leading.

he was a necessary evil.

Truth hurts

I'm going to be honest, 68 opponents dead in 1 week is standard, medieval kings in Europe and the Middle East used to do that in the day. Hell during the French Revolution they killed hundreds across a few days. :yeshrug:

My Uncle always says that when Papa Doc was in power in Haiti. It was a beautiful place. Streets were clean, business thrived etc. And that the only way to restore Haiti is to have another dictator.

Was always against that thought, but little by little I realizing humans only respect terror and violence.
