Actually his wife, who's inheriting the franchise from him, is the real the reason they stayed because she was the who convinced him to buy the Hornets from the league back in 2012 in the first place. Both franchises have already been officially approved to be transferred over to her by both the NBA and NFL. She's a lifelong resident of NOLA who's been philanthropically active in the community for decades, and both franchises already have established presidents and managership structures based in NOLA headed by Loomis and Dennis Lauscha.
