right now, msnbc is showing this live rally for eric garner. it's very touching and moving, and you can see that people are outraged by what's taken place. say what you will about the media, but msnbc seems to be the only station out here showing some semblance of respect for our community. for all his faults, sharpton is also a very powerful advocate for black civil rights.

The tri state area is more than NYC. 8 million in the city proper, 22 million in total. Anyway that statistic is false, about 70 % of nyers rent. Also homeownship rates is not necessarily indicative of more economic stability. White people rent and have the highest incomes and the tri state area has the highest income (for blacks too)
