Harris, Professor of English and Culinary History at Queens College/CUNY, will deliver her address, “Links in the Chains: Culinary Connectedness in the Atlantic World.” Co-sponsored by the The Sonja Haynes Stone Center for Black Culture and History, the Institute of African American Research, and the Department of American Studies, this lecture will examine the cultural and culinary connections shared by the foodways of the African Atlantic World.

Saw Guyana mentioned in the article…had Guyanese food for the 1st time a couple of years ago……:wow: forgive me my 1804 brehdren, but that’s one culture’s food I might have to put up there with Haitian food.

Didn’t realize Guyana had such an Indian influence, that shyt hits on another level when mashed up with African/Carribean cuisine. Gotta take a trip down there eventually.
