NXT Superstar Sami Zayn suffered a shoulder injury during his U.S. Championship Match against John Cena on Raw.

Zayn, who answered The Champ's open-challenge defense of his title, was tended to by WWE officials during the match after appearing to aggravate his shoulder, yet he continued on and finished the contest despite the injury. WWE.com can confirm that Zayn will be undergoing an MRI on his shoulder tomorrow to determine the nature and extent of his injury.

Having watched it back it looks like he did something during his entrance, does a massive gesture to the crowd and then his right arm/hand starts properly twitching

Sami Zayn injured his shoulder while trying to get the crowd going just as he got to the ring for his ring entrance tonight before his match with John Cena.

He worked the match, even though the referee signalled for the "X" shortly into the match and called for the trainer to check on him.

He is scheduled for an MRI tomorrow.

Zayn had been injured and out of action until April 2.

Nah, the moment you refer too ain't it. It happens when he's already on the stairs. He does a couple of pumps for the crowd, quickly grabs his left shoulder, shakes it off and does some quick stretches before stepping into the ring.

Yup, and for anyone still doubting it, once it became clear in-ring the ref threw up his arms crossed which they're only supposed to do when there's a legit problem.
