Looks pretty good.

It's $2k so too expensive. But if it was the same price as an iPhone, S20 etc. would you get it? :lupe:

What's the point of this??:mindblown:
Its cool just for cool's sake. :yeshrug:

Its like asking, "whats the point of..."
  • A ferrari?
  • A space shuttle ?
  • Bottle of wine from 1751?
  • A flame thrower?
  • etc...

But on a deeper level i think this might be the future of phones. I remember when blackberry(s) were the cutting edge of cellphones and the iPhone had just launched.

People were seriously asking "what's the point of the touch screen"? This iPhone thng is so impractical. How am i gonna type my emails without muh keypadddd !!!:damn::damn:

I've had the Fold 3 for almost 2 months now. I don't use it as my main phone as there are a couple of minor drawbacks. Because it's relatively thick while folded, I don't have a case on it and its slippery. Thus I tend to baby it; I carry it around in a sunglass case. It's heavy and also not easy to use when unfolded. The camera's are just ok, at best, so I use one of my other phones for pictures.

With that said, the main screen is great for watching video and I also use the S-Pen a lot for notes and sketching. It's also good for internet browsing, reading and a full-screen Instagram experience. The crease, while definitely apparent, isn't really a distraction. I only paid $1050 (from swappa) so I'm not really mad at the purchase. If I had to spend ~$1900+, I'd be disappointed. My other phones are a Galaxy S10+ and iPhone 11 Pro, both from 2019. If I'm using those more than this nearly 6-month-old, ~$2000 phone, there's still plenty of work to do.

I can't comment on battery-life since my time is divided between devices.

Phone does get a lot of attention out in public.

My main takeaway: Decent purchase at less than 1200. Too many compromises at 1800+
