No it doesn't. Any city that size will have an above average crime rate. Compared to most big cities, the crime rate in SD is low. It is very safe to walk around in most places there. The crime is mostly confined to small areas away from any site of interest.

I live here & no its not violent unless you go to the wrong neighborhood, but they arent near the beaches so you will be good, and just watch what colors you wear out, SD is a Blood town mostly but its not just red, you got green and grey also, there are crips tho too, but if you are just minding your business you should be good, at the very worse you might get beat up. if you are Mexican then dont show your prison tats, that could start a fight also

Theres a lot of people here from SD apparently, I thought it was just me and maybe three others. San Diego is not violent, there are only like 30 murders a year here, it's nothing, but if you want to get into trouble you can out here, quick. Between the casinos, the drugs, the bytches, the gangs, the border....but mostly you have to look for it, or be born into it. Or just a the off chance you get raped and murdered by some little creepy asian you met at at the Hard Rock...

It's diversity is 2nd to none imo.

City Heights is the most culturally diverse area I've ever seen in the U.S personally. It seems like nearly every culture lives there, each residential street is like the United Nations.

Favorite city of all-time. I've spent the majority of these last two years there.

One of my friends is going there for vacation in about 2 months with his family. Met a white girl from San Diego that moved to Houston last year. She said her and her white friends growing up liked black guys and considered us "exotic" first time I ever heard that in my life. I might need to take trip there some day

and i mean every single person... i was in atl, on new years. dude i didn't even know in line heard us talking about sd. turned around, with his girl next to him, and proceeded to start talking about SD.. for 30 fukking mins with pictures of all these bad bytches he smashed.... with his girl right there
