Why not use the Star Wars gig?

How about the talk show appearance that just dropped with Kevin Hart? She also did the intro for the College Football playoff. And pretty sure she was nominated for favorite female athlete at the Nickelodeon Kids awards this year.

Is that still supposed to make her a star outside of the WWE though? If that's the logic you want to go by, then a lot of people would be considered stars since they've made TV appearances and did promos for sports.

Is she a big star out of the WWE though or is that you and others making that assumption? Don't use that Star Wars gig as the barometer to try and make that justification.

Her 'Cold as Balls' interview was trending and has almost more views than every other athlete they've had on there in just a few days. That's not a coincidence. People want to see her.

That's because the controversy surrounding the situation and what happened. It would not be trending or as high profile as it is if she never walked out and people would be lying if they said otherwise. I'm not saying she can't be a "star" outside of the WWE, but is not just not one right now so lets stop throwing that label around on everyone that makes a TV appearance. Going by that logic you would use it on Rusev as well since he will be on primetime TV in the fall.

Ion know why ppl want Naomi n Sasha to com
Classic “what’s Ja Rule have to say?” Reply. People don’t need to speak out about everything. Why do you even care what someone you don’t know has to say about anything? :what:

Stop derailing the thread with your irrelevant thoughts. :camby:

Man stfu and take Khan balls out ya mouth. CM Punk a hypocrite. He won’t even stick up for ppl in his own company. Why he ain’t say shyt bout Swole’s concerns? He try to shyt in Ryder when he was quiet as a mouse about any AEW front office criticism. So fukk u and that short order cook muthafukka

If she didn’t renew, I would love if Sasha/Mercedes went to AEW, she would put on classics with the likes of Toni Storm, Thunder Rosa, Serena Deeb, Kris Statlander, and Jamie Hayter, really she could put on a clinic with anyone over there. Plus I doubt AEW would be in there feelings as much with her doing outside projects.

Couple of reasons, I don’t see that happening though. Sasha already took issue with WWE’s booking, well right now, the booking of AEW’s women’s division is inconsistent as well, Thunder Rosa can’t even get the amount of TV time she should be getting and she’s the women’s champion, they’re really gonna have to improve their division before they can accommodate a Sasha Banks.

Another reason is that, Sasha could very well just be done with wrestling if she leaves, at least for a number of years. When Sasha took her break in 2019, she said she lost her passion for wrestling, hell she had to go to Japan just to get the passion back. Now with her getting opportunities outside of wrestling, having connects with Snoop, Brandy, and Ray J, she could just fukk and dip out the business cause she doesn’t really need it, she’s accomplished so much already at 30 years old.

Solomonster said on Wednesday's podcast that if her and Naomi goes to AEW they need to form a Bullet Club like stable with the Baddies, breh if that happens (I know it's not,but thinking about it) can you imagine the eye candy, the ratings for their segments?

That's like Nikita Lyons rocking her skin tight one pieces at any of the prime 5 PPV's and times'ing that by 10

I do think her stock has risen, I don’t think she’s going to be The Rock any time soon.

That all being said, something about this shyt is weird. Either it’s a work or Vince is a complete idiot, because I don’t think he comes out unscathed
It could be a couple different things - Sasha already asked for her release so she could go to Japan the last time she took a sabbatical and Vince said no, so if the details about her contract expiring soon are true (and Vince feels like she'll bail) the outline for her tag title run may have been influenced by that. Do nothing that was actually promised about legitimizing the belts, and just use the buzz her and Naomi created towards a match with Ronda at Summerslam where she does the job. Then if she re-signs Vince would promise (and likely provide) another big singles push, if she leaves then the Ronda match is her last act.

I've always felt like she (and Bayley) were gonna show up in Japan and AEW at some point because she's a wrestling junkie just like Bryan. That's probably how this thing plays out unless Vince makes an offer she can't refuse (wouldn't doubt that either).

I'm curious to see what happens to the titles. There's no real teams other than 2 women randomly thrown together, which leans into why Sasha/Naomi did what they did. I don't know if the titles have any real future. In all honesty, this would've been a good time to quietly get rid of them or just merge it with the NXT titles.

Watch them make the titles a focal point for like 2-3 months and back to the bushes they go :mjlol:

I don't think it's a "not valuing them" case. WWE typically views tag teams as secondary to the singles stars. Ronda really had no ready-made opponent to face at Hell in a Cell. With Smackdown's limited women's roster, her opponent's were Shayna, Naomi or Sasha without feuding with job girls.

Why does Jon Favreau employ her? Jon didn't see her on WWE. He saw her on 'Hot Ones'. She now has three Star Wars figures because they sell so well. Jon Favreau isn't tryna get Charlotte and Lynch is he?

Why did Disney then call her to do the College Football Championship opening? They could have called any other actress but they called her... why?

First of all I never said anything about star OUTSIDE of WWE. I said big star in general, she is going to be more popular because of this whole situation

But if you want to talk about outside of WWE then what metric are you looking for as to whether someone is a star outside of WWE other than mainstream appearances like the one I gave you. She is a proven ratings and merch mover inside the company and outside the company has made numerous mainstream appearances so I'm not sure what criteria you are exactly looking for.

Like who as an everyday WWE worker is making moves like she is?

That doesn't make her a "star" outside of the company though. I don't think that a lot of people in this thread know what that term exactly means because if that was the case, then wouldn't realize that she isn't one yet.

That's exactly what you meant when you used the word "star" because if you didn't, then you wouldn't have used gigs outside of the company to try and support your argument.
