Saudi Arabia bans Ebola-stricken countries from hajj pilgrimage

With the arrival of approximately two million people from around the world in Saudi Arabia for the annual hajj pilgrimage, there are a group of pilgrims who were not welcomed.

The Saudi government has banned the entry of travelers from three countries currently dealing with the Ebola epidemic: Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone. The decision to reject visa requests from these countries has affected 7,400 people, according to the Associated Press.

Hospitals in Saudi Arabia are also preparing in the event of an outbreak by setting up isolation and surgery units as well as dispatching medical staff to airports.

wrong, the same should be said for those going over to the wall in israel. Sorry its quarantine time. If you've been to, or from W.africa. You shouldnt be able to fly out or travel any where without being ebola cleared.

See unlike some, i dont play with this kind of stuff. i'm not selfish either. I can email, call, or skype with people i know. i dont need to be all up on them possibly giving them the illness. No thanks. quarantine.

Shoot, add in the Vatican as well. NO trips for W.africans at the moment. i know those are our brothas and sistas over there and i feel for them and pray for them. if there's some where to send funds that wont be stolen but used properly. we'll help out there as well. BUT what we cant have is this willy nilly attitude or a selfish attitude from W.africans thnking they can just travel and roll the dice like its just their life. its not.

Can't really blame them, and travel bans have been in effect between african countries (Senegal closed its borders with Guinea due to Ebola, or at least tried to).
