We are not worse than the Americans because we take care of our sick, and the upper middle class and rich has no problem providing social services to the poor. Nobody here dies on the street because they can't access health care. Sure there are fights among people that are struggling, but at the end of the day there's a social net that people don't mind paying for. When there's a social net poor people won't fight each other.

This AntiAmericanism isn't a wave, we've always prided ourselves on things like universal health care. You'll have racist cacs no matter where you go in the world but in Canada anytime there's a dogwhistle by a politician there will be backlash so it shuts them up. Look how Harper got destroyed last election after he tried to make the "barbaric practices hotline"
