It's hard to leave a job when your life has been defined by it for decades.I mean why not. he has nothing left to prove...made his money, made his rings... why keep playing...In great physical health. enjoy your 40's relaxing...
Normal people go through this. I can't imagine how bad it is for somebody who is famous solely because of his job.
I'd imagine he'll have a midlife crisis immediately after retirement.

I wouldn't be surprised if he'd retire in his 25th season if he were to continue after this upcoming year.
I think retiring in year 25 would be more iconic and legendary than year 23 or 24
