Even. more mindblowing...O is based in Othello, and Cruel Intentions is a modern version of Dangerous Liasons, starring John Malcovich, Glenn Close, and Uma Thurman, set in the white wig time period. Sean's character was played by Keanu Reeves in the original, so they didn't need to add the racism.
