I'll never forget on this very website someone asked me that popular empty question..."what are you doing for the Black community?" I responded by saying "I babysit my neighbors kids and dont ask for money" I got a response of "Ha! You aren't doing anything for the Black community"

I say stuff like this all the time on where and nothing but deflects in responses but this is the best course correction for black people
start with yourself

instill pride and values in your kids and raise them to be contributors to society and our community

You HAVE to be the change you want to see in the world. That's leading by example.
It starts with you, and then you're able to teach those in your circle, who in turn, teach those in their circle and so on and so forth...
We have to stop waiting for a Martin or Malcom, the times are different, the enemy we face is the same one they faced it's just the enemy has adapted and shapeshifted with the times...
There won't be a leader we're all following behind. We just have to put ourselves in a better position and police ourselves much better. Stop being so lax and "hands off" because when we were
