Nah there is a punishment for being pretty. NOBODY will keep it real with you. Guys ain't gonna be truthful cuz they wanna smash, women won't keep it real cuz they jealous.

I done seen one or two gorgeous local singers/rappers and they were trash. You think anybody told them they wasn't good to improve?

I think Scarface would ghostwrite some rhymes for Saweetie if she let him smash on the regular. And lesser knowns would write for her for free just to get a whiff. Not to be vulgar about the situation:respect:

This is no disrespect to her at all,she seems like a nice enough young lady. Im sure shes gotten looks from people who just wanted a chance to shoot they shot. And shes probably been rejected out of jealousy. All of these things hurt, but dont compare for the woman who looks and sounds like Beanie Sigel in his prime. Not in this current environment.

Frankly Saweetie just isnt that good, her management seems lackluster. And shes failed to capitalize on the chances shes had. And I would say shes had enough considering her lack of talent/skill. Shes not horrible but definitley not special at any part of rapping.

Ha! Well everything has a downside

When everyone wants to smash and open their wallet for you, there will also be those that cheer your downfall - especially when you don't appear to have other skills or humility

Such is life

Some hit the genetic lottery, but that doesn't mean that you shouldn't create value for yourself beyond that. Looks fade, people will use you - you need knowledge of self

I think she struggles with that concept
Here’s the thing- you are ABSOLUTELY RIGHT. However, what happens is when you actually are extremely attractive, you’re living in a bubble. As someone stated above, society doesn’t keep it real until you age out, go broke, etc.

That’s why having honest family members around you is important. Being attractive opens NANY doors, but they will shut once folks see you don’t have any substance.

That’s why someone like Beyoncé inspires so much hate. She hit the genetic lottery and has been pretty her entire life, but she didn’t get by on that. Her father made her WORK for her dream, and he instilled a level of work ethic that many other entertainers don’t have.

There’s a reason she literally has captivating stadium tours year after year, back to back after damn near 30yrs in the industry and her contemporaries like Justin Timberlake, etc (who were just as big, if not bigger at one point) can barely move on stage.

Bey took advantage of her pretty privilege and put hard work on top of it. Can’t deny her beauty or her talent.

Nicki Minaj, as problematic as she can be, did the same thing. No one can say she isn’t talented.

Saweetie is REALLY pretty. Like, naturally pretty. If she takes care of herself and lives a clean life she can age like Mya. That does make ppl jealous.

The difference is there is nothing about her style or sound that makes her really stand out.
She’s probably the prettiest rag girlie but she’s kinda boring.

Doja, Meg, even Glorilla— there’s something different and unique about all of them. Even Cardi’s ass with her bombastic personality.

Saweetie is just a really really pretty girl who leaned into the ho image. Same with “Lotto” (cuz I still can’t believe she went by mulatto; that shows how basic she and her team are).

If she had stayed on that “Icy Girl” tip she would’ve had her own lane. Young, pretty girl who is smart and educated and getting money. Hell, Meg does nothing but shake ass but she pairs it with a great flow and shouts out her degree all the time. Saweetie relies on her looks alone more than most.

The thing is, because she’s pretty she still has leeway and has more time/opportunity to improve her image. Someone less attractive wouldn’t even have a chance to rebrand and still capture people’s attention.
