That’s really the problem with ESPN, isn’t it. They collected all this superstar talent in the 2010s and just wasted em having them on radio or the secondary shows.

I think they should’ve embraced the digital route much sooner than they did, but to me, I they didn’t really trust the younger dudes to fully take over on some of those shows we really like either. Although IG in instances where they did give em some rope (Beadle, Max and Marcellus), them shows flopped too

All it takes is for the NFL and NBA to do their own Streaming Service, and it's a wrap for ESPN itself.

The layoffs sucks obviously, but this is just a part of a big issue in that ESPN is just bleeding money with little return.

Those sports leagues can’t even properly manage their own television networks, so I doubt they’d be able to pull the streaming service thing off.

They tried, but that shyt flopped badly. Look at what happened with Katie Nolan, Pablo and Bomani.

They won’t admit it for obvious reasons, but they shouldn’t have caved in to the NFL’s demands in letting Simmon’s go as they could use his services right now.

Actual game/broadcast rights is what keeps the lights on, if they didn't have those or a smaller scale package ESPN woud be NBCSports(defunct)/CBSSports/FS1 status.

If that was the case, then he would have already jumped ship by now. His schtick just doesn’t carry over outside of the sports world and the talk show route just isn’t viable anymore.
