That specific verse they used for Homies and Thugs wasn’t recorded on any reel. It was a freestyle in the studio and the audio was grabbed from a home video (same video that plays in the homies and thugs video) of the freestyle.

They could have gotten with the outlaws or nutso to get the og beat be it was on dats or a reel

Thats a good point but maybe Outlawz ain’t have access to the beat. But that definitely would’ve made a lot more sense. I always wish this song came out better cuz it’s three legends on that shyt.
