This got me a little shook. I was on local PBS briefly as kid, and it never occured to me that the footage might be saved somewhere.



And yes, it was embarrassing. I remember it was black History month, and Clayton county schools was holding some sort of competition , with being on tv as a prize. It was me on stage, awkwardly reading some lame ass poetry while holding a Kente cloth.


It's crazy , now that I think about it, such a display and public school funded contest to celebrate black History wouldn't be possible nowadays with the anti-DEI thing, especially in Georgia .
