and now that they suck i bet you don't even pay attention to em right? some kind of fan you are

jeter is easily unanimous vote

i hate the yankees more than the next dude... (i am an oakland fan and i witnessed jeters baseball "intangibles" first hand)

this play will forever be painful for me to watch

can you tell me who the last MLB shortstop to end his career with a .300+ BA?

g'head google it

jeter is easily the goat ss of all time... honus wagner may have an argument but the game was different when he played

:russell:

Peak of this greatness. Wasn't clutch at all after that.

Anyway, I try to block the '01 playoffs out my mind. That Game 7 loss still stings. :mjcry:

And fukk outta here. He ain't deserve no unanimous vote. :comeon::stopitslime:

Jeter's greatest strength was CONSISTENCY and that's it. He was never the greatest at anything. :francis:

-5 Gold Gloves (overrated but made iconic plays)
-World Series MVP (2000)
-1996 MLB RoY

First ballot HoF, the G.O.A.T. SS all things considered :wow:

Dude is one of the most clutch athletes of All-Time. So many great postseason moments from The Flip to the Mr. November HR...

Dude hit a HR for his 3,000th hit and a walk off for his final career hit...

Made over $250M in career earnings without counting all his endorsements...

Dude dated prime Mariah Carey, Tyra Banks, Halle Berry, Scarlett Johannsonn, Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Minka Kelly...

He's one of the few nikkas Barack Obama will dead ass invite to chill at the White House...

Not a bad thing has been said about this man, not one PR error, no baby mommas, no PED's, no major choke jobs, no DUI's, no extra curricular bullshyt...

This nikka Derek Jeter is literally one of the coolest nikkas on earth

Great player.
Hall of fame player.

Sensitive douchebag who couldn't handle the fact that Alex was better than him.

Called for fans to stop booing his friend Jason Giambi when Giambi was struggling.

Claimed it wasn't his job to tell the fans to stop booing when reporters asked why he didn't come to Alex's defense a year or two later.

A defensive liability to say the least.

Bland personality. Never said anything of importance because he's a corporate shill.

He's Russell Wilson's wet dream.

Smartest thing he ever did was not get married and banged (white) models. :mjpls:

Yankee fan here but fukk Derek Jeter.
They came out with this Core Four bullshyt and put Jeter at the forefront with Rivera, Pettitte and Posada. But Bernie Williams was the guy who taught all those suckers how to be professional and showed them all the ropes.

You want a role model? Bernie Williams is your man.

let me take ur yankee card b,

Absolutely false. I've met Bernie and Mariano at several local bars in the Westchester area (Mariano lives here...Bernie, I don't know anymore but he's done several guitar shows here) and I've spoken to other ex-coaches and organizational people who have personally told me otherwise.
And Gerald Williams was gone by mid-august of 96. He and Jeter shared maybe 100 games. I couldn't speak to how much of a lasting friendship they have, but that's hardly relevant.
Jeter spoke at the college where I work last year and made it clear Gerald and Tino were the dudes who most checked him as a young player. Williams took him under his wing early, back before he got his permanent call-up in 1996, and they'd be working out in Tampa.

And I don't give a fukk in general about "leadership" or its alleged value, vocal or not. It's something people usually just fall back on calling out or praising when it suits them or the situation. I'm just pointing out someone like Jeter doesn't, according to him, "owe" Bernie quite the way claimed. :yeshrug:
Nah, buddy's pretty thorough ...:yeshrug:

Though he did date that Madonna chick for a bit...id steer my kids away from that type shyt:sadcam:

(But your sons will wanna and should follow after you:yeshrug:)

A-Rod got with Madonna (this version :scusthov:), not Jeter.
