scored in the world cup final, won the world cup and poised to be the best player the world...he has already eclipsed them
Comparisons aside, I was just thinking about this - what if Messi had won in 2006? thats how you gotta do it, no pressure, get to play with optimism. Mbappe will never play international soccer with the weight of the world on his shoulders :banderas:

Its definitely possible though. Probably the most exciting talent in the world right now. Neymar seems determined to make PSG his team after playing second string to Messi at Barca so i dont know how his return to PSG will be after his break out performance this wc. You know Neymar doesnt want anybody outshining him :mjpls:

Yeah, dude has done what Messi and Ronaldo hasn't done. Clearly has a head start on them.

At the end of the day though, still has to build up the rest of the legacy. Too early for all that other talk.

The most you could really say is he has a nice head start. But a lot can happen from now to 2030: injuries, bad teammates, rivalries building super teams, etc.

It's still a question of potential vs fulfillment and not trying to confuse the two. Who was the best is always a question of hindsight.
