The first Scott Pilgrim game never got the love it deserved..I really think it's one of the best beat 'em ups of all time. A bigger sequel is a welcome surprise.

Scott Pilgrim is the closest game that gave me that River City Ransom feeling.
Copped it, seems like the achievements for it aren't live yet..

I heard it was kinda based on the Netflix show. Which I loved so I really wanted to get this. Reviews came in good too.

Nah it's an original story...the only elements I can imagine are the slight character redesigns and some of Ex-BFs being heroic characters now.
I've only played with Scott so far.
It has that Metroidvania type beat-em up open world where you can don't just go right, you can always come back left and open a new location or quest later.
