Honestly, the whole "AI/deepfake" stuff sounds lame to me.They’re incorporating Ai/deepfakes this shyt about to be fire
Also, Sidney is smart and has been terrorized for 30 years. She wouldn't easily fall for that sh*t unless they dumbed down her character (which would be a regression).
Of course she’s not going to fall for that shyt.
So what would be the plot of the movie?
Breh it could be as simple as somebody just using AI to fukk with her

Kevin Williamson on reuniting with Neve Campbell for “Scream 7." The star did not appear in "Scream 6" due to a pay dispute.
“There was this big thing about the pay discrepancy, but it was also about the part. It was like, ‘You want me to show up at the end of a movie with a gun and help everyone shoot Ghostface? That’s great. I’ll do it.’ She was happy, but she’d also wanted a part. Actresses want to play parts,” he said. “So we were able to tap into that and find a way in. Working with Neve, we did it together. She was with me every step of the way, and she was so supportive and so helpful. She walked me through a lot of it. I hope it shows, but we had a blast
