World Heavyweight Champion John Cena kicks off SmackDown and talks about winning the belt at Hell In a Cell and how he's back on SmackDown. He's interrupted by Zeb Colter, Jack Swagger, Antonio Cesaro, and Jason Thurgood Goode. Goode calls Cena a disgrace to America, a sell out, and a disgrace to his race. Goode says Cena's kind aren't welcome on Smackdown and the Real Americans have already signed his deportation papers. Damien Sandow joins them and calls Cena a liar and a hypocrite, running him down. WWE Tag Team Champions Cody Rhodes and Goldust are out next saying they have unfinished business with the Real Americans. Vickie comes out and make a multi man tag match with Cena, Cody and Goldust vs. Sandow, and the Real Americans for tonight's main event. Goode says he's leaving in protest as he refuses to wrestle a homosexual. Cena says THAT is Goode news and hits him with the one armed AA. :beli:

* There's a pre-match promo with The Shield where Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins end up staring at Dean Ambrose and teasing tension like on RAW. :lupe:

* Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose vs. The Usos is up next. They tease more tension in The Shield. Big E Langston comes out and stands at ringside for The Usos. The Usos end up getting the win clean by pinfall. After the match, Big E has a staredown with The Shield, mainly Roman Reigns, until they retreat through the crowd. :lupe:

* There's a segment with Dolph Ziggler trying to sell WWE Shop merchandise. :pachaha:

* Erick Rowan and Luke Harper vs. Darren Young and Titus O'Neil is up next. Harper and Rowan dominate and manhandle Young early on. Wyatts get the win. After the match, Bray Wyatt comes in the ring and hits Young with a nasty looking Sister Abigail. Wyatt stands over Young and says that his lifestyle of sin shall be forgiven if he will just follow the buzzards. :demonic:

* MizTV with The Miz is up next. New WWE Champion Randy Orton is the special guest. Right in the middle of a question, Orton lays The Miz out with a RKO and smiles. Big Show runs in from the crowd and hits the WMD on Orton. :umad:

* The Bella Twins and Natalya defeated AJ Lee, Tamina Snuka and Alicia Fox when Natalya made AJ tap to the Sharpshooter.

* They air a Survivor Series promo.

*A dead buzzard his shown backstage, the camera pulls back and reveals effigies of Bryan and Punk hanging from a light fixture with an empty rocking chair nearby. :demonic:

* Another taped interview with Triple H talking about Big Show's lawsuit. Triple H says Big Show is now banned from WWE for life. He also states he has fired the entire WWE production staff and is working with temps in the meantime. :heh:

* John Cena, Cody Rhodes and Goldust vs. Damien Sandow, Jack Swagger and Antonio Cesaro is up next. Cody and Goldust were acting hesitant to interact with Cena. This was described as one of the best multi-man matches in some time. Cena's team gets the win by DQ after Cena is attacked from behind by Jason Thurgood Goode who hits him with the Goode News and locks in the c00n Trap. Swagger retrieves the WHC title and hands it to Goode. He teases whipping Cena with it but says he couldn't stand to whip the skin of a white man. Zeb Colter has no issue with it however and whips Cena like a "runaway slave" in his words. Sandow looks on from the corner and smiles sadisticially.

:whew:

The real spoilers:

  • John Cena kicks off SmackDown and talks about being World Heavyweight champion again. Following interruptions from The Real Americans, Damien Sandow and The Rhodes Brothers are set up for the main event.
  • We see a backstage promo featuring The Shield—just like the one on Raw, it teases a breakup within the group.
  • Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose are defeated by The Usos. Big E Langston was ringside for the match and stares down The Shield afterward.
  • Backstage segment with Dolph Ziggler selling WWE Shop merch.
  • Eric Rowan and Luke Harper beat The Prime Time Players.
  • Miz hosts MizTV with Randy Orton. The segment ends with Orton hitting Miz with an RKO mid question.
  • The Bella twins and Natalya defeated AJ Lee, Tamina Snuka and Alicia Fox.
  • A pre-taped interview with Triple H airs; he talks about Big Show’s lawsuit and how he’s banned from WWE for life.
  • John Cena, Cody Rhodes and Goldust defeat Damien Sandow, Jack Swagger and Antonio Cesaro to close the show.
  • Dark Match: After the show, Daniel Bryan defeated Randy Orton by DQ after interference from The Shield.

John Cena returns to the house that built him, SmackDown. Based off his promo on Raw, it appears he’ll become a consistent fixture on the show, which is definitely a good thing.
There were many conspicuous absences on this week’s SmackDown—Daniel Bryan and CM Punk likely didn’t appear to sell their Wyatt-induced injuries. Randy Orton, Big Show and Alberto Del Rio all also confusingly don’t appear.
Perhaps most devastatingly, we’ll have to wait until Raw to get a better read on how far down the card Bryan will be sliding following his Hell in a Cell loss.
Instead of the above names, this week’s main event is comprised of some fresher faces. The Real Americans suffered a loss to Los Matadores at Hell in a Cell, but WWE seems very aware of the fact that Jack Swagger and Antonio Cesaro are a tag team definitely worth investing in.
Some will say, with some merit, that Damien Sandow’s loss on Raw kills his momentum, but he’s in the main event of SmackDown this week and appears to be in a role of improved prominence, which will likely continue. It sure beats losing to Santino.
Cody and Goldy once again find themselves headlining SmackDown. The match was described as being one of the best multi-man tags in recent memory—so they also find themselves in yet another terrific match.
Story progression is slight on this week’s SmackDown, but it looks like the stars of the future are really getting a chance to shine.
