Its clear they should have run it. The running play they should have called was under center....give Lynch the ball and hammer it in.
Calling a passing play was your first fukk up
Then THE passing play was the worst in NFL history.
You're on 1 yard line. The WORST play to call is a pick play. Why? Because you take a chance at getting a holding penalty and now getting the ball back at the 11 yard line. If anything you throw a fade to Matthews. Best case you go UNDER CENTER and run a play action pass getting Russ on the move to use his legs.
The call, the situation, at that point of the game is indeed the WOAT play in Super Bowl history.
