It’s funny how people always say “omg he had a lot of weapons, everyone could succeed in his situation” to QBs to say that they are trash. Then also say “the team has a trash qb” to answer why teams with weapons don’t deliver.

I’m not expert in football, but I do know mathematical logic :skip:

Now do the math on the contracts:mjlol:

If you can plug any QB in to that spot and get results. Why pay a mid QB that contract? Might as well pay for Rodgers who we know has a higher ceiling than Darnold. Or pay a rookie who's ceiling is potentially higher.

Can someone explain why Geno turned that down?

I thought Seattle just let him go. I was calling Seattle idiots for letting him walk. I didn’t know they offered him that.

Geno is loyal to Pete Carroll who resurrected his career and treated him like a legit QB. and Pete probably reached out and asked if he wanted a few go rounds in Vegas.

They were trading DK, Lockette is gone, the O line gave up the 3rd most sacks, and they couldn't run the ball. The team looks like they're doing a soft rebuild.

Meanwhile Geno and Pete are tight, they have Bowers, might draft Jeanty, and their short term future might be better than Seattle's.
