I don't get why every team isn't being required to do this actually. It's not 100% bulletproof but it's something at least.

And for the regular season, they should have players doing it too for at least the latter part of the week (Thurs-Sun). Make players who test negative quarantine at a team hotel from Thurs til the game. That way they still get their freedom to be with family and shyt the early part of the week. Players and staff gonna have to make some sacrifices this season if they realistically wanna get through the season without outbreaks.

I think the league should have multiple bubbles

The way NFL schedules work is you play your division x2, each team in a division in your conference x1, each team in a division in the other conference and then two teams in the remaining same conference divisions who had the same division rank as you the previous year.

Let's use the Chiefs as an example. They play the AFC Westx2, AFC Eastx1, NFC Southx1 and the Ravens and Texans.

For the first 4 weeks of the season they should have the Chiefs, Broncos, Chargers, Raiders, Patriots, Bills, Jets and Dolphins in a bubble. That's 480 players if roster sizes are 60 this year. The NBA has about 450 players. Those teams should each play each other during those first 4 weeks in a certain bubble location.

Then they could leave the bubble for a few days to see family then go to a new city. However, in order to enter the new bubble they'd have to test negative. There'd be about 2-3 weeks time before games in the new bubble would start.

    Etc etc

The season would be long but it would be safer

great thought but honestly what i would do is create 8 bubbles with each division being in a bubble in different states
    texas bubble
    arizona bubble
    california bubble
    florida bubble
    indiana bubble
    new york bubble
    charlotte bubble
    atlanta bubble

You ONLY play your divisional opponents in a 12 game schedule (you play your divisional opponent 4 times a piece) and there are only 8 teams that makes the playoffs and they're seeded 1-8 from best record to worse and use all the non head to head tiebreakers.

The playoffs would be in 2 different bubbles Florida and Texas

the SB will be in California and the playoffs would begin 1 month after the regular season ended to ensure players are clean headed into the bubble. The SB would be played 3 weeks after the championship games.

Y’all are losing sight of what a bubble is.

You know what the NFL equivalent to a bubble would be? (for any league really?) The Olympic Village.

Crazy thing is with the way the hospitality industry is struggling right now. They can get crazy good deals on hotels too. If I go on hotwire right now I can get 4star hotels for $75 a night. I'm pretty sure NFL teams could cut deals with some hotel for 200 rooms for like $40 a night rate. That's $250k a month or like $1 million for the whole season. That shouldn't be shyt for a NFL team.

That's too many bubbles. I say 4. No more than six. I think what's fukking up the MLB is the amount of travel. The less travel, I believe the smaller chance of getting COVID.

Good idea, although idk if his players will follow or not. NFL roster would be hard to contain without very strict rules

Thry don’t even mention the NHL whomis doing very well with a bubble.

4 bubbles. Shortened season. The NFL proving how short sighted and money driven thry are. Concede that this is going to be a bizarro season and things will be different or just cancel it.

My only concern with that is the redundancy of playing the same teams so often
