Searching in the media forum

Does trying to search for smilies and gifs in the media forum not work for anyone else? Every time I try, I get the no results pop up.

But whenever I unselect the 'search in this forum only' function, some smilies would pop up along with a whole bunch of other unrelated stuff.

I found that instead just typing in what I was searching for when I went to the media gallery I'd have to first select what category I wanted from the vertical menu on the left and then when I was in that section I'd search and get results. For example If I was searching for an Obama smiley I'd have to first click on "Smilies" up under the "Smilies and Gifs" option on the left hand side and then when I'm in the smiley section type in Obama in the search box and then I would get results
