Season 1 of the Wire may be the best TV series ever

I just re-watched the whole season for the first time in years and it was simply amazing :wow: the character development, writing, camera work etc...may be the best shyt I have ever witnessed and I have been around for quite some time. Other season of the wire were top notch and I think series like Breaking Bad, Oz, Sopranos etc...had some flawless seasons but I don't think anything touched this one. I don't think they had one plot hole and the largely unskilled cast delivered like no other. :salute: Tell me what you think Coli fam!

I prefer season 4 but :manny: really have no complaints about season 1, either.

4 was great as well but I just didn't care much for the Marlo character...they never developed him past being a sociopath emotionless killer. He had nothing on Avon, Stringer or even Bodie. His crew was pretty much the same. The school youngins story line was great though.

Why the hate for Bubs?!? I thought he was a great character...especially in season one. He might have been the most conflicted person on the show. He REALLY wanted to do right but the drugs kept him fukked up(don't ask me how) hell without Bubs the cops would have lost against Barksdale AND the Stansfield crews.
