They had paid informants and agents infiltrating back then too.

The reason the civil rights movement and other labor movements succeeded is because they threatened boycotts and general strikes. The protests were just a visibility thing.

At the end of the day cacs only respond to attacks on their money. If Black people in unison said they weren’t going to work tomorrow or were boycotting a major corporation, the US government would turn an about face on the police quicker than a MF.
