I don’t think that’s the protocol for most 5x5 Beginner Programs
I don’t think beginners should be doing 5x5’s period

5x5’s are dope but with shyt form and heavy weight they’re not prepared for is a recipe for injury to me.

At least do a pyramid

.

She could be eating too much. Some people think just because they are vegan or clean eating means they eating is correct. But it's more than possibly to overeat rice and quinoa or especially those beyond burgers and "vegan cookies"

I don’t think that’s the protocol for most 5x5 Beginner Programs. They start you at the Oly Bar and work up if you haven’t lifted before.

I went straight to benching 120 lbs ... never worked out before. I hate I’m learning this now the hard way. See, y’all don’t say this type of stuff in threads about working out.

boy, I was asking for it. :francis:

All newbies should be doing the strong-lifts 5x5’s and they can create a great foundation and amazing body changes :yeshrug:
So, whats your point? My post wasnt saying otherwise. It was pointing out new dudes who do shyt they arent supposed to. The biggest jacked dude in the gym isnt likely doing 5x5 workouts at his level of experience.

No they shouldn’t

They should be doing light weight at high reps to learn proper form and prepare their bodies for a heavy 5x5 routine or future routines period.

You just don’t jump in and do 80% of your fukking max 5 times with improper form

No, they shouldn't be. Learning proper form has nothing to do with how many (or few) reps are in a set. :mjtf:

Noobs don't even have a legit max, and SL5x5 never asks them to find one.

SL5x5 also never said you should be lifting with improper form.

Comment on programs you don't understand and have clearly never ran, gym brehs. :skip:
