I bet there's always been an "overwhelming" number of threats against the Presidents of the past. Governments just haven't been so privy to other people's thoughts and correspondence to this extent.

I did a lot of research and study on the secret service in college for one of my classes..The have a pretty tight protective circle around him..the only thing that scares the shyt out of them is when the President likes to take those unannounced visits to restaurants and shiit,..people haven't been checked and you have no idea who's sitting in there, deranged, and packing a weapon...Secret service is literally
