The telling part is when white guys get drafted they rarely ever cry tears of joy or show any real emotion...Meanwhile all these Black players acting like the old lady in church that just caught the spirit...Just lets you see the difference between coming from privilege and generational wealth where becoming a millionaire in your early 20's doesn't even move you...They don't even comprehend overcoming struggle to accomplish a dream because life has always been gravy and football isn't a "way out" its just a fun hobby...

I was reading Brandin crooks story and almost welled up. Dad died of a heart attack, mom raised 4 kids all by herself worked two jobs, drove a old ass Saturn now she driving a Benz!!

And many of these dudes have the same story, to make mony to move your moms out the slums the joy and jubilation in her eyes :wow:

The average professional athlete in the U.S. will make more in one season than most of us earn in our entire lives….[yet,] despite those staggering salaries, 78% of NFL players, 60% of NBA players and a very large percentage of MLB players (4x that of the average U.S. citizen) file bankruptcy within five years of retirement.

:blessed:

they will be as poor as me, yes siree. *full hater mode* :blessed:

I come from more "privilege" than the average black athlete. I was raised to have good financial acumen. I would have hard capped myself at living like i made 70K-80K and pocketed the rest. In the midwest, that's a great life.

One thing that hurts us is child support. nikkas better get that 12 step Jeter plan
