damn near left the thread cause i didnt see dreaming of you posted in OP till i kept scrolling

such a beautiful song brehs :to:

The very first time I even heard about this woman was in my 10th grade Spanish class years ago around 2007 or 2008(something like that)

At the time I forgot the reason, maybe a week before a school holiday braek or something, our teacher "Ms Fagin" started showing this movie of "some Mexican singer named Selena" and im sitting here watching the movie thought it was a bit corny but it had some parts i liked....

shows her in the hospital on the gurney shuts off and then my :beli: face changes to :to: when i hea that "dreaming of you"

i was floored

thats one of those few moments we all have growing up where we literally get into an artist THAT second from something small.

Selena - I Could Fall In Love - YouTube

yeah bro i used to always catch the end of that movie whenever they'd play it on tbs, with the mic and all the empty seats in the background. heard that song so many times before it really started to grow on me. One of my favorite songs of all time by a female artist now.

I want to get more into the Tejano music scene but I don't know where to start or what artists to check out.

Did you see that video i put up above of Enamorada(did i spell that right) De Ti? Even as a non english song, i think alot of people would find it catchy. Especially that video with everyone dancing :smugbiden:

That video looked so 90s :ahh:

fukk that fat bytch that killed her

selena was dope made hot music

That cheesy 1990s technology :ohlawd:

That voice :lawd:

Are you familiar with the Tejano scene? Anybody you would recommend? or a certain list of people?

I know since that Jenni Rivera singer from Mexico died, recently, the Selena comparisons(although most people say Jenni was bigger than Selena) started coming up.

But I haven't listend to Jenni's music to judge yet

:yeshrug:
