charming city

If Dakar continues it's landscaping, it can rival the north african cities

alottle off topic, alot of major west african cities are building mass transit network

Lagos and Abujas has a metro and lagos is building 2 more lines
Abidjan is constructing it's first metro
Dakar has it's regional express(like the Bay Area Bart)

Transit is a game changer for a city and country's economy. If you have a reliable system that means:
1. Space that would've been used for parking lots and to widen roads will be used to build more housing.
2. People save money on gas or electricity to charge their vehicles.
3. Traffic is calmer since there are less cars on the road so delivery and emergency vehicles can reach their destinations faster.
4. People die less often due to reckless driving and road rage.

Cities were much more calm back when busses and street cars were the norm. Less pollution too.
