Serious Question...Are White People Just Trollin

THE REAL IS THIS. They live a system of priviledge that benefits them. If a system is in your favor you are going to deny it exist or play it down because it benefits you and when people start talking inequality that's white people's conscience fukking with them. Any system that benefits you personally you will downplay it to the people it doesn't benefit.

I think in sports when you are somebody like Lebron, you get away with a foul or two, you get a favorable call now and then. He's not going to stop the game and say "Ref, why didn't you call that?" and he's not going to bring it up outside of the locker room with his other teammates the non call benefits. Same rules applies to white folks.

There's ingrained racism built into our culture when we grow up. We're segregated from other races and cultures for the most part. Nobody I hung out with growing up would consider saying n*****, but at the same time, I never really met any black kids. You're never explicitly told that black people are bad, but there's an underlying message out there in the media that's created for us.

Yup, a lot of white people are enclaved up and have no idea what's happening in the real world with the black community. Everything they're told is that after MLK Jr. all the races are equal, everyone has an equal playing field, race doesn't matter anymore, etc.

There's no reason that an 80 year old man should kowtow to someone in their 20s, but at the same time, it can make you feel very good about yourself. It's a dangerous thing, because if I hadn't had parents that made me read things about history that I otherwise wouldn't have, it's very likely that I would be enticed to thinking I deserved that subservience.

I grew up and was educated in a culture of white supremacy, I'd be lying if I said that there weren't parts of me that weren't racist.

To address the OP, it's a mixed bag.

I attribute those who don't truly realize they're being racist to the principle of Hanlon's razor, which is:

"Don't assume malice when stupidity is an adequate explanation. At least, not the first time."



I have met white people who legit did not know about their privilege, or were to stupid phone r gullible enough to be swayed by this crazy rhetoric.
The former I feel sorry for, but there's no excuse. Nearly all available information on the planet can be accessed through your phone; in this age of information, ignorance is a choice.


The others who know what the deal is antagonize POC because they think it's fun or some shyt... I hope they die in a fire.
