Serious question for my Ring brethren. If Floyd can fight mcgregor after 49 fights why can’t Canelo fight Jake Paul after 64 fights?

Floyd was clearly retired and was in fukk it mode

Benavidez
Bivol
Beterbiev

Are clearly people he doesn't want to run the round robin with (or Bivol a 2nd time) and he's cashing out
Also Floyd wasn't holding an entire division hostage when he fought Macgregor

After that Bivol debacle man's went :hubie:

Saw them Wheaties they took in mother Russia and was like :picard:

I mean up until 2022 it was hard to criticize the dude.

You ain't mind Khan, Fielding or Liam Smith or Callum Smith.

Now it's obvious after that disaster that he encountered he took the road of least resistance.

Nothing wrong with it. Ppl actin like this will be his only fight this yr. Let em get that easy Jake Paul bag. Then he can get his title back from Scull or fight Mbilli

It wouldn't be an issue for Canelo to fight Jake... as long as he gives those belts up. It is a detriment to boxing to hold on to them this long and not fight the best opponents. He wants to cash out fine, let the next generation fight for those belts then.

Very fair point

Floyd was 42, retired, and had no belts. He also beat everyone

Canelo is way older in boxing years, more fights and more damage taken
