U sound like me wife a nurse too
Except I got 7 kids with 6 doing school work
Technically 2 of em are my niece and nephew lol
I didnt change there bedtime either I made it the same as if they were in school.
Wake up time I dont make a big deal once I'm up they are up since my 3 year is awake and he a busy body they can get up eat and do school work.
Once they are done they do there chores and if they acted right I let them be but if a kid acted up.
Ass going go clean up more and help watch my youngest depending on age of kid in trouble.

I have 14,13,12,11,7,7 all doing homework and I'll help with the 2 youngest or I make older kids help while I deal with satan's spawn my 3 year old.

:damn::damn::damn::damn::damn:

we got a backyard so we start off with some warm-up exercises (all my kids are under 10), jogging in place, jumping jacks, laps, they're use to being active so it ain't nothing for them

then breakfast

then they school work from say like 11-1, lunch then to 2.

Afterwards they reading till like 4 or they usually nap.

after 5 they good to do whatever

I let em sleep in tho, ain't no need for kids to be waking up at 7 in the morning.

I use to homeschool 'em so I'm use to it.

This is good. Imma follow this routine and see how it goes. That gives me some time to get my own work in

How are yall handling this with the kids school work and your work?

Like nobody asked for this but this is getting tougher by the day. I got 4 kids all with these loaner laptops from school and they have assignments due. Then on top of that i have my normal work from home to keep these bills paid and the lights on.

Spouse is a nurse so she is on the front lines every day.

Do yall just be like forget this and let the kids do the work whenever, if at all ? Or do you stay on track and work with them despite you having work to do yourself? Like schools really expect us to be the teachers right now

Im already there. Im just bout to say fuk it all go play Playstation. I know these other parents in the same grade doing all of this. Aint no way.

These teachers can't expect it to work long term. I bet this class participation gonn be at zero by months end
