When I first saw this my attitude was and still is that if this happened EXACTLY how it was portrayed in this clip then she must not love her son or care about justice. My atheist anti theist friend she's a real Christian (he says I'm Christian in name only). I said Christ himself said "live by the sword die by the sword". That it was never said to reward and adopt someone for killing someone. Another mutual friend was like "he's a kid". So was the victim. I truly believe adult crime adult punishment.
My first friend looked it up and showed me WHO it was based on. They were black.
I now feel it's literally different. Black people have a gang problem that white people don't. If the boy was white he would have had to go way more out of his way to even find a gang. If he was white I feel he would have way more options. I feel white people are also treated better by the legal system.
My first friend (who's sheltered, part Spanish like white spainiard Mexican, and Salvadoran, but is not about culture and is one of those "race doesn't matter AT ALL" types) was saying I'm racist. I don't think he gets how hard and bad it is for poor black urban youths.
